MISSION STATEMENT
Singles on the Move is South Jersey's club for single men and women in their 40's and 50's. Our goal is to promote friendship and opportunities for social interaction for our members through a wide variety of events, in a safe and friendly atmosphere. Membership Standards of Conduct Members of Singles on the Move are expected to conduct themselves in a manner conducive to our goal of providing a safe and comfortable environment in which to socialize. Actions or behavior that may be perceived to be threatening,violent, lewd or otherwise harmful to another member, or to the good reputation of our organization will not be tolerated and may result in action by the executive committee up to and including revocation of membership. Member Relations Committee The Member Relations Committee shall exist as a standing committee. It will consist of three members of the executive committee appointed by the Facilitator. Violations of the membership standards of conduct should be brought by the offended party, to the attention of the facilitator or his/her designee who may investigate the situation and if necessary intervene and counsel the parties involved. In cases of serious misconduct, the facilitator may refer the problem to the member relations committee for a confidential review and recommendation. Upon completion of its review, the membership relations committee will report its findings to the facilitator with a recommendation for further action if necessary. The facilitator, or his/her designee may choose to council the members involved, send formal letter of censure and warning to cease the offensive behavior, or bring the recommendation before the executive committee for more serious action, which may include; temporary or permanent suspension of membership which will require a 2/3-majority vote by the executive committee. |
